3.1 Internet use

It is generally not necessary for you to provide personal data in order to use our website for information purposes only. Rather, in this case we only collect and use the data that your Internet browser automatically transmits to us, such as:

  • Date and time of access to one of our web pages
  • Information about your browser type and version
  • Information about your browser settings
  • Information about your operating system

We collect and use this data during an informational visit exclusively in non-personal form. This is done to enable you to use the web pages you have accessed, for statistical purposes and to improve our website. We only store the IP address for the duration of your visit and for a maximum of seven days to detect and defend against attacks. A personal evaluation does not take place. This data is not merged with other data sources, and the data is deleted after a statistical evaluation. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f. GDPR.

Your data may be passed on to service providers supporting us for the aforementioned purpose, which we have of course carefully selected and obliged to comply with data protection law. In particular, these may be technical service providers or shipping service providers. Otherwise, your data will only be passed on to other third parties if this is permitted by law or if we have received your explicit consent to do so.

4. use of cookies and web beacons

We use cookie technology for our website. Cookies are small text files that are sent from our web server to your browser when you visit our website and are stored on your computer for later retrieval. We also use so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to analyze information such as visits to our websites. The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the user's IP address) and the delivery of advertising can also be transmitted to Google LLC servers in the European Union and the USA and stored there.
We use the following types of cookies on our website, the scope and function of which are explained below:

  • Transient cookies

Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies in particular. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

  • Persistent cookies

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.
You can determine yourself whether cookies can be set and retrieved using the settings in your browser. For example, you can completely deactivate the storage of cookies in your browser, restrict it to certain websites or configure your browser so that it automatically notifies you as soon as a cookie is to be set and asks you for feedback. For technical reasons, however, it is necessary to allow the aforementioned session cookies in order to use the full functionality of our website.

5. use of statistical tools

It is important to us to design our website as optimally as possible and thus make it attractive for our visitors. We can use the statistics obtained to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user.
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). A web
analysis is the collection, compilation and evaluation of data about the behavior of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analysis service collects data about the website from which a data subject came to a website (so-called referrer), which subpages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. A web analysis is mainly used to optimize a website and for the cost-benefit analysis of internet advertising.
The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyze the flow of visitors to our website. Google uses the data and information obtained, among other things, to evaluate the use of our website, to compile online reports for us that show the activities on our website and to provide other services in connection with the use of our website.

The operating company of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
Google Analytics also uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Each time you access one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by us and on which a Google Analytics component has been integrated, your Internet browser is automatically prompted by the respective Google Analytics component to transmit data to Google for the purpose of online analysis. As part of this technical process, Google obtains knowledge of personal data, such as your IP address, which Google uses, among other things, to trace the origin of visitors and clicks and subsequently to enable commission settlements. Cookies are used to store personal information, such as the time of access, the location from which access originated and the frequency of visits to our website. Each time you visit our website, this personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection you are using, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America (USA). This personal data is stored by Google in the USA. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical process to third parties.

We use the addition "_gat._anonymizeIp" for web analysis via Google Analytics. This means that your IP address will be shortened and anonymized by Google if you access our website from a member state of the European Union or from another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also object to and prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information on website visits may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is considered an objection by Google.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website:
Deactivate Google Analytics.

In order to oblige Google to process the transmitted data only in accordance with our instructions and to comply with the applicable data protection regulations, we have concluded an order processing contract with Google.
Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google can be found at
https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy and at
http://www.google.com/analytics/terms.
Google Analytics is explained in more detail at this link https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics.

6. data security

We also use technical and organizational security measures (TOM) to protect personal data that is generated or collected, in particular against accidental or intentional manipulation,
loss, destruction or against attacks by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
Use of the download area requires identification by entering a user-defined identifier. The data is protected against access by third parties via HTTPS, provided that the user uses the methods of data transmission recommended by us.
The data that you enter or transmit to us as a file may be stored by us and processed by agreement. If the use and processing requires the consent of the user or third parties, the consent can be revoked at any time without giving reasons. In this case, however, the fulfillment of the contract by us may be impaired.

7. deletion periods

We only store personal data until the purpose of the data storage no longer applies, as long as no statutory retention periods or limitation periods for data that may be useful for legal prosecution prevent deletion (in this case, the processing of the data is restricted in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR).
